A short day, and the one that crosses out of Lugo into A Coruña. It leaves Palas de Rei by the Campo dos Romeiros, a traditional meeting place for pilgrims, and ends over the medieval bridge at Furelos in Melide — one of the finest pieces of civil architecture on the French Way. [Along the way] - O Carballal and San Xiao do Camiño — a small village with a church and calvary - A Ponte Campaña and Casanova — up and down through farmland - O Coto — the provincial boundary; Lugo behind, A Coruña ahead - O Leboreiro, then Furelos and its medieval bridge into Melide [Stage details] Start: Palas de Rei · End: Melide 14.6 km · about 3 h 40 min · difficulty medium [Good to know] - One short stretch runs beside the main road through an industrial zone before the woods. - Melide has full services and is the junction where the Camino Primitivo joins the French Way.
