An easy day on good surface — earth and stone mixed with small asphalted lanes between villages, with gradual climbs and descents and flat stretches between them. From Melide the Way is shared with the Camino Primitivo all the rest of the distance to Santiago. [Along the way] - Boente — a four-spouted fountain and a calvary beside the church - Castañeda — rolling farmland and oak woods - Ribadiso — a bridge over the River Iso and one of the most attractive hostels on the French Way, in restored cottages with a garden down to the water [Stage details] Start: Melide · End: Arzúa 14.5 km · about 3 h 40 min · difficulty low [Good to know] - Arzúa has full services: places to eat and sleep, banks, a health centre, pharmacies and shops. - The Arzúa hostel stands beside the Capela da Madalena, opposite the Church of Santiago.
