Gendarmstien — Bjergetapen

The Gendarme Path runs 84 km along the coast from Padborg on the German border to the island of Als, on the patrol route the border gendarmes walked between 1920 and 1958. In 2018 it became the first trail in Denmark certified by the European Ramblers' Association. Padborg to Sønderhav through the Kruså tunnel valley and Kollund forest, along Flensborg Fjord. The most undulating of the five — this is ice-age country and the path keeps rising and dropping.
