Schafberg

Up the Schafberg from the shore of the Wolfgangsee — a straight 1,200 m of climbing to a summit that looks out over most of the Salzkammergut lakes at once. The meadows on the way up are the ones the Sound of Music was filmed on. Walking up and riding down is the usual arrangement. - The summit measures 1,749 m here; the marker on the panorama point reads 1,783 m and the hotel below it 1,732 m. - Elevation is sampled from a terrain model, not recorded on the ground.
