Juta — Chaukhi Pass — Roshka

Over the main ridge of the Caucasus from Juta to Roshka, under the granite towers of the Chaukhi massif — the range Georgians call their Dolomites. The path climbs the Chaukhi valley to the pass at 3,341 m, then drops into Khevsureti on the far side, where the Abudelauri lakes lie a short detour off the descent. Usually one long day or two with a tent.
