Grossglockner High Alpine Road

A crossing of the Hohe Tauern on the road built for the view, opened in 1935 and still a toll road. From Bruck it climbs to the Hochtor at 2,504 m — a tunnel under the main ridge, on a line people have crossed since the Bronze Age — then drops to Heiligenblut under the Grossglockner, Austria's highest mountain at 3,798 m.
