Lake Como Loop

A lap of the Lecco branch of Lake Como — the classic road ride here. Out along the eastern shore of the Como arm to Bellagio at the fork, down the far side through Onno to Lecco, and back inland over the hills to Como. The lakeside road never stops turning or going up and down. [Route details] Start and finish: Como 101.44 km loop · 197 m to 527 m · climb 2,270 m [Along the way] - Como → Bellagio 41 km, the twisting shore road through Torno and Nesso - Bellagio → Onno → Lecco 23 km down the eastern shore - Lecco → Como 38 km inland, over the hills rather than along the water [About the climb figure] - A terrain model reads the mountain above a tunnel, not the road inside it. Sampled raw this gave 2,587 m, with five sections at 25–45% gradient — which no road is. The nine tunnel sections are re-cut as the straight line between their portals, giving the 2,270 m above.
