Lac de Melo & Lac de Capitello

Two glacial lakes at the head of the Restonica valley above Corte, in the middle of Corsica. The path climbs from the road end at Grotelle to Lac de Melo, with chains and a ladder on the last pitch, then again to Lac de Capitello — a cirque under the ridge that holds ice into summer and sits directly below the GR 20's Brèche de Capitello.
