Quarry Rock

A short climb out of Deep Cove on the western end of the Baden Powell Trail, finishing on a bare granite bluff above Indian Arm. It is the easiest big view near Vancouver, which is also why it is busy — the village is at the bottom and the walk takes about an hour and a half return. [Route details] Start: Deep Cove, North Vancouver 2.2 km one way · 22 m to 157 m · climb 149 m [Good to know] - An out-and-back: this line is one way, so the walk is 4.4 km all told. - Boardwalks and stairs over the creeks; the trail rises over a shoulder before dropping to the rock, so there is a little climbing on the way back too. - Street parking in Deep Cove is limited and time-restricted. - Elevation is sampled from a terrain model, not recorded on the ground.
