Watzmannhaus

The approach to the Watzmannhaus at 1,930 m, on the shoulder of the mountain that stands over the Königssee. It is a steady climb the whole way with no flat to speak of — 1,300 m of it in under 7 km — and the hut looks straight down the Watzmann's east face, the tallest wall in the Eastern Alps.
