Chamonix → Martigny (Stage 2)

Out of the Chamonix valley into Switzerland over two passes. The Col des Montets is the gentle one at the head of the valley; the Col de la Forclaz on the Swiss side is the steep one, and the descent from it into Martigny drops a thousand metres in ten kilometres.
