Camino del Norte Stage 7
We depart from the town of Arzúa by the Rúa do Carme. In this stage the landscapes of meadows and woods (carballos (oaks), eucalyptus, fruit trees and cultivated fields) with stretches on the asphalt of the National Nacional 547 Highway. We cross the River Vello anda Brandeso and then pass through several hamlets: Preguntoño, A Peroxa, some with Jacobean echoes such as A Calzada, A Rúa, Ferreiros — again a reference to the ancient trade of those engaged in shoeing horses among other functions — and A Salceda We leave A Salceda in the direction of Santa Irene — where there is a pilgrim hostel —. This stage continues over practically flat land as in all this stage. We arrive at A Rúa, very near the entrance to Arca, the capital of the municipality of O Pino, the last Town Hall before Santiago. O Pedrouzo is the main population nucleus of the parish of Arca. Throughout all the stage we will find bars and taverns where we can have something to eat and there are fountains where we can freshen up.
